Lavender quartz is known as a rare type of Quartz that is coloured with manganese and titanium, some with certain amount of Girasol giving it a milky look.
Lavender Quartz comes from a single mine and is mined straight from the host rock from the Boquira Mine in the municipality of Oliveira dos Brejinhos in the Brazilian state of Bahia. The mine opened in 1956 and there has been news around that the mine is or is going to be no longer producing. The small amount of available raw materials of this precious stone are very small. Lucky that they are in perfect jewellery size!
